I loved capturing Sophie and Shayan’s Clevedon Hall wedding. As a Somerset wedding photographer I get to work at some amazing wedding venues and none more amazing than Clevedon Hall. And for my first time visiting the venue, Sophie and Shayan chose the perfect place for their summer wedding and I absolutely loved the day.
Clevedon Hall is a Grade II listed mansion with 17 acres of land in Clevedon, North Somerset. Shayan is Canadian so his grooms’ party (about 45 of them) all flew over to join him on his wedding day. So it was lovely that they got to attend a traditional English country house wedding.
Despite a wet start to the day the rain cleared up so that Sophie and Shayan were able to have their wedding blessing outside in the pretty grounds of Clevedon Hall. There are so many ways for couples to have their weddings done their way, and Clevedon Hall’s stunning gardens, grounds and elegant interiors made the perfect backdrop when photographing Sophie, Shayan and their guests. Sophie looked amazing in her lace dress that had pockets to carry her stuff! (I’m reliably told that wedding dresses with pockets are the way forward!)
The two speeches were great, although I almost missed the best mans speech after he got egged on in the middle of serving food! This lot were so much fun and definitely up for a party, and caught me off guard a few times! Speeches were fun, food was lavish, and drinks didn’t stop flowing. The images of the men knocking back shots and then hitting the dancefloor were amongst my favourites of the day. Take a look! The celebrations ended with a fantastic fireworks display that lit up the night sky. The perfect end to a perfect wedding day.
