Bishops palace is the perfect backdrop for wedding photography as it has bit of everything; architecture, flowers, a moat, history and the actual water well behind the cities name which I found amazing! (Thanks Sophie!) It was my first time photographing the venue and it was truly amazing. Being a wedding photographer in Somerset you get to visit some beautiful venues but this was completely different to others I have visited over the past 5 plus years.
On the day of the wedding, Sophie and Rob decided to get married at Priddy Church in Somerset with their friends and family, and then invited more guests to the evening reception at Bishops Palace where the guests had the opportunity to enjoy the gardens as well as celebrating with Sophie and Rob. Sophie looked amazing from tip to toe with here natural flower bouquet from the amazing Wildly Beautiful. The weather for the day was hot all the way through to the evening, given everyone the most amazing light all day long.
The wedding was brilliant from start to finish, with a selection of tea and scones for canapés, and a beautiful beef dinner for their guests, no-one went hungry. And saving the best til last, Sophie and Rob decided to have a band for their evening do and who better than The Stereo Jacks. I’ve seen these guys before at another wedding and forget how amazing they were. Drinks were flowing, and all of the guests fully relaxed in the grounds of Bishops Palace playing garden games and soaking in the atmosphere.
I can’t wait to visit Bishops Palace again in the future, whether it’s for a wedding or just to walk round the gardens, it is simply stunning. Congratulations to Sophie and Rob once more, I’m so pleased you love your photos, and I wish you all the best for the future.
“I’m not sure words will do justice for how highly we’d recommend Ryan and his superb photography skills – he recently captured our wedding and from our first meeting with him, he’s been a delight to work with. Always super friendly, prompt to reply and generally a great guy. He really takes care to capture the parts of the day that are important to the couple but still manages to not be invasive and it felt like having another guest at the wedding rather than a photographer! We’re thrilled with the pictures which Ryan has very promptly sent to us and the photo gift box is a lovely touch. We’d absolutely recommend Ryan for anyone looking for a hugely talented photographer! Thanks for playing such an important role in our special day Ryan”
