Priston Mill is one of the most sought after venues in Somerset, and its no surprise why. Whether its rain or sunshine, it really is the perfect location for a wedding with its gorgeous backdrops and rustic character throughout. Anyway, enough about that lets start at the beginning of this journey. I met Lana and Tony at one of my friends weddings a few years back now (thanks Miles and Michelle) and shortly after I got a message from Lana asking about her wedding photography. Before any booking, I love finding out all of the details, and when they said it was Priston Mill I was even more excited to capture there day.

The day started out the same as most, meeting the bride in the morning for all of the hair and make up shots, and getting those all important moments like her dad seeing her for the first time. Just a heads up, it was very emotional and completely overwhelming, and one of the best moments of the day for me. Once everyone had stopped crying, I moved on to Priston Mill to meet Tony and his groomsmen, snap some photos of the venue with all the chairs setup, the gorgeous flowers and all the little details, and then the guests started to arrive. From then on it was a superb day. The weather stayed dry the entireity, giving me plenty of room for group shots and a couple of shots of just the two of them later on in their friends dads camper! They even came for a drive later in the day after food to catch the sunset and get those golden shots, however we were just a tad early and missed it, so we had to get back to greet the evening guests, but not to worry, the photos came out lovely still.

The couple both decided on a simple styling for the big day, using the venue as the backdrop and just adding a few bits and bobs around the venue. This relates to everything, except the flowers of course which Lana adored from Lily Lockets who did a great job throughout! My favourite part of the day for me was the confetti as there was SOOO much to go around. Quick lesson for all future bride and grooms, buy lots of confetti for your wedding as the photos come out amazing and you’ll see why, although I could only pick a few shots to show you which is a shame really.

Anyway, I like to finish every blog with a massive thank you to the married couple for choosing me to capture their wedding and trusting me to do so. It also goes without saying that this day wouldn’t have been possible without the help from all of the amazing suppliers so make sure you click the links below and show them some love! Enjoy everyone!
