This was my first time visiting Hamswell House just outside of Bath and I was instantly taken back by its beauty and endless opportunities for wedding photography. And I couldn’t have been more happier that Becky and Keelan chose this Bath wedding venue as their place to tie the knot. It was the perfect day weather wise too and the smell of wild garlic on the drive down towards the main house was amazing, and the delicious food served during the wedding breakfast…. sounds delicious right?
But before the picturesque drive down to the venue, I met Becky, her bridesmaids and her mum in the morning along with Becky’s 3 pups who you will see often in their album in the morning. Lauren and Ashleigh were already there when I arrived working their magic doing hair and make up and the Prosecco was flowing nicely with lots of music and laughter. A few hours in and whilst Becky as getting changed upstairs, Becky’s dad turned up for the first look with the bridesmaids and we were then off to the venue.
When you plan an outside ceremony the weather always plays on your mind but they certainly lucked out this day. Being able to have your drinks reception, ceremony and wedding breakfast in the gardens of Hamswell House is considerably lucky, and made for beautiful pictures with the countryside in the background one way and the house and grounds the other. It certainly helped the guests were super nice and got fully involved in photos.
From the insanely talented music all day long, the beautiful weather all day and the endless smiles and laughter, the day couldn’t have gone better. The venue kind of reminded me of St Audries Park but on a smaller scale with the orangery, views and country house too which is equally as beautiful. I can’t thank Becky and Keelan enough again for letting me be part of their day back in 2021 and I hope you all enjoy this preview and feel free to comment at the bottom too.
